Bainbridge Island Republican Women will welcome guest speaker Richard Tizzano at the group’s meeting next week.

Tizzano, an author and attorney, became a lawyer at the age of 42, and specializes in the field of elder law and personal healthcare crisis management.

He is the author of the book “Accidental Safari,” a guide for navigating the changes that come with aging. When Tizzano was 12, his mother Grace had a debilitating stroke at 42 years of age, leaving her paralyzed on her right side. She was confined to a wheelchair for the rest of her life. This face-to-face confrontation with the pain and suffering in the world changed the direction of his life, and at that young age, he began his “Accidental Safari” and was determined to become a part of the answer to the pain in his life.
