Bainbridge Island is set to take a hard look at how it manages its stormwater.
City Manager Doug Schulze attended the most recent meeting of the city’s Utility Advisory Committee. He asked the committee to begin reviewing the surface and stormwater management program, commonly referred to as SSWM.
“The dialogue with the UAC resulted in good progress toward development of the framework,” Schulze said.
The committee will likely take several meetings to evaluate the program.
The move to review the program comes in the wake of community criticism over the city’s program and the allocation of costs for the utility.
