Bainbridge Police reporte the following indicents

August 17

10:06 p.m. A woman reported thatwhile eating at Bainbridge Bakers, a $200 dollar video camera was stolen from her purse. The woman said someone must have taken the camera when she left her bag unattended to use the restroom. The woman said she did not immediately notice the camera was missing and only discovered it was gone after leaving the bakery. Police have no suspects in the case.

August 18

9:08 a.m. A Valley Road resident had an egg thrown at his window at about 2 a.m. The man told police he heard something hit his window and saw a car drive away but he did not discover the mess until around 9 a.m. There was no damage but the windows had just been cleaned.

11:44 p.m. Several teens told police they had been threatened by an employee working at a restaurant on High School Road. The teens said they had been teasing the employee who was working the drive-thru. They were imitating a comedy routine they had seen on TV. When the employee asked them to stop and order correctly they did but said they were scared when the worker asked to talk to them about the teasing. The teens decided to pull out of the drive-thru, park their car and go get their order on foot. The teens told police they continued to antagonize the employee after they had parked their car. They admitted to provoking him. When they would not stop laughing at him, the teens said the employee told them, “It won’t be so funny when I put bullets in the back of your car.” The teens drove away and said they called 911 because they were scared.

August 20

1:08 p.m. A man and woman were caught trying to steal beer from a store on Winslow Way. The woman had hidden a beer in her purse while the man slid a beer bottle down the front of his trousers. The pair admitted to stealing the beer and told police they were under age. They said they had come in for a drink and beer sounded good. They were not legally allowed to buy it so they just decided to take it. Police charged the pair with theft.

2:43 p.m. A Pinto Court woman accidentally left her dog in the car with the windows rolled up. The woman rushed inside and did not realize the dog was missing for several hours. By the time she realized her mistake the the dog had died. Police found the woman sitting beside her parked car screaming and crying hysterically, cradling the dog and running cool water over it. Police said the woman was to hysterical to respond to questions when they arrived. The case has been referred to the Humane Society.
