Bainbridge Police reported the following incidents:
Nov. 23
6:30 a.m. A teacher at Bainbridge High School discovered the window to a classroom had been broken and someone entered the classroom. The teacher found two stacks of paper swept off her desk and onto the floor. The teacher thoroughly searched the room and didn’t notice anything missing. She told police that as of Nov. 20 at 4 p.m., the window was intact. The teacher said she had no problems with any students and couldn’t provide any suspect information.
Based on the height of the window and the glass still in the frame, officers surmised one suspect could not have entered the room without assistance. The incident caused $500 worth of damages. Police have no suspects.
3:10 p.m. A resident reported someone used his debit card at various ATMs throughout the state.
When looking at his Chase Bank account, the man found three fraudulent charges. On Nov. 13, a withdrawal of $503 was made using the debit card and the man’s PIN in Duvall, northeast of Seattle. Four days later, a second transaction of $502 was logged at an ATM at Pier 66 in Seattle. The final charge was for $503 in Factoria on Nov. 18. The man claimed he never lost possession of his debit card, and he has no idea how anyone might have gotten his financial information. Police have no suspects.

9:45 p.m. A woman observed a man rummaging through her vehicle.
The woman parked her car on Winslow Way and didn’t lock it when going to a restaurant to meet a friend. When she left the restaurant, she saw two feet hanging out of the driver side door of her car. As she approached, she noticed a man exiting the vehicle. He began calmly walking away from her on Winslow Way. The woman yelled at the man and he took off running.
The woman returned to the restaurant and explained the incident to her friend. They got in the car and searched for the man. When they couldn’t find him, the woman left the island in her car. She told police nothing was missing, but her car was in “disarray” and it was difficult to tell if anything was missing. Officers later searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him.

7 p.m. A man reported being assaulted while in his car at the ferry terminal. The victim said he was assaulted because he honked at a stopped vehicle letting people off in front of the terminal in a “no drop zone.”
When the man honked, the suspect approached the car and starting yelling at him. He came to the driver side window, reached in the car and slapped the victim.
The suspect then walked onto the ferry with two women and another man. The victim said the slap made his nose bleed, but officers could find no evidence of that.
When officers arrived at the ferry terminal, the suspect was already on the boat. Officers searched the ferry but could not find the suspect.
