Bainbridge takes out Bremerton in home opener

Quinton Agosta threw for three touchdowns and Dayton Gilbreath notched his first 100-yard rushing game as the Bainbridge Spartans defeated the Bremerton Knights 44-0 in their home opener Friday night.

Agosta threw a five-yard jump ball to tight end Bryan Gilbreath in the first quarter, a 49-yard strike to a wide open Bryan Gilbreath just before halftime and a 11-yard pass to running back Nick Stone in the third quarter.

Ross Cobb started the scoring for Bainbridge with a 45-yard touchdown run around the right side in the first quarter.

Dayton Gilbreath scored on a five-yard scamper in the second quarter after forcing and recovering a Bremerton fumble.

Kyle Szarzynski had a one-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter after Agosta completed a 40-yard pass to Cobb on a fake punt.

Kyle Scoble was 5 of 6 on extra points and added a 32-yard field goal in the second quarter.

Agosta finshed with 154 passing yards.

Bryan Gilbreath had 3 catches for 85 yards, while Dayton Gilbreath had nine carries for 112 yards.

For Bremerton, running back Brandon Hanson had eight carries for 79 yards and caught four balls for 36 yards.

Bainbridge hosts Chief Sealth next Friday night at Memorial Stadium for their Homecoming game.
