Boys and girls in Bainbridge Island Boy Scout Association troops are recycling Christmas trees Jan. 7.

The annual fundraiser since 1997 supports Scout programs, assisting in learning leadership, citizenship and outdoor skills; attending camps; and other adventures. Scouts pick up the trees and arrange for them to be recycled by composting.

Suggested donation is $25. Trees should be ready for pickup from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
