The Bainbridge Island Genealogical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, in the Bainbridge Island Public Library meeting room.

Guest speaker Claudia Breland will talk on “Social Media and Genealogy.”

Breland is a librarian, author, lecturer and researcher with more than 40 years of research experience in libraries, archives, courthouses and historical societies across the country. She is the author of two books, and is a member of the National Genealogical Society, the Association of Professional Genealogists, and various state and local societies, and has lectured for libraries and genealogy societies across Western Washington for the past four years.

The meeting is free to members; a $5 donation is suggested for nonmembers.
