Climate Action Bainbridge will host an online Climate & Energy Forum next week.

The forum — COVID-19 and Sightline Institute’s New Strategies on Climate Change — is planned for 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 29.

Alan Durning, executive director for Sightline Institute, will be the guest speaker.

The Sightline Institute is analyzing the effects of COVID-19 on

society and developing new strategies related to climate change (e.g.,

no bailouts for fossil-fuel industries, pandemic recovery that speeds

the clean-energy transition, and cash for carbon sequestration in

farms and forests).

Durning will share strategies that can used in the Bainbridge community.
