The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Eagle Harbor Yacht Club, and Peninsula Fire will host a fire extinguisher safety event in the Winslow Wharf Marina parking lot (141 Parfitt Way SW) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27.

A multitude of safety-centered services will be offered, including extinguisher inspection and replacement recommendation, faulty extinguisher servicing (for $8.50 each), free disposal of those found unserviceable, free disposal of expired flares and fireworks, and boater vessel safety inspections, among others.

New fire extinguishers will be available for purchase, and also discounted hand-held flares.

Free hot dogs and hamburgers will by provided by Winslow Wharf Marina.
