Congressman Kilmer to host coronavirus telephone town hall Monday

U.S. Representative Derek Kilmer will host a telephone town hall meeting Monday evening to share information about Congress’s efforts to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kilmer, who represents Washington’s 6th District, will hold the town hall meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, May 11 and will be joined by Washington Secretary of Health Jonathan Wiesman, who will provide updates to the state’s response to the ongoing pandemic and discuss plans to move toward economic recovery.

“I work for you and — even though we can’t meet in person right now — it’s important for me to connect with you and hear from you,” Kilmer said.

“I hope folks will be able to join the town hall on Monday to learn more about the coronavirus recovery, my ongoing efforts to ensure the federal government steps up to lend a hand to families and local employers, and to get your questions answered,” he added.

Residents of Washington’s 6th District who would like to join the call can send an email to kilmer.teletownhall@mail.house.gov with your name, address and phone number by 6 p.m. Sunday, May 10.

Those who sign up before the deadline will automatically receive a phone call inviting them to join the town hall on Monday.
