Congressman Kilmer to host telephone town hall

Congressman Derek Kilmer will hold his fifth telephone town hall this week to connect with constituents while in Washington, D.C.

Congressman Derek Kilmer will hold his fifth telephone town hall this week to connect with constituents while in Washington, D.C.

Kilmer, a Gig Harbor Democrat who represents Washington’s 6th Congressional District, will host the chat at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 26. Participants will have the opportunity to ask Representative Kilmer a question or leave a message with their questions or comments.

“I hope folks are able to join my next telephone town hall,” Kilmer said. “I work for you, and I want to make sure that I continue to be accessible and accountable to you.”

Residents of the 6th District who would like to join the call can sign up at http://kilmer.house.gov/contact/townhall or send an email to kilmer.teletownhall@mail.house.gov with their name and phone number by 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 25.

Residents who sign up before the deadline will receive a phone call at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 26 inviting them to the town hall.

In 14 months since taking office, Kilmer has held more than 10 in-person town halls across the region, in addition to town halls via phone and internet. He also frequently meets face-to-face with constituents and takes their questions at forums and Kilmer at Your Company events.
