People enjoy the sun on Madrone Lane in downtown Winslow Monday during a very sunny — and hot — start to the week on Bainbridge Island.

The thermometer easily topped 80 degrees Monday all across Bainbridge, with some areas reporting temperatures in the upper 80s.

Wednesday on the island is forecast to be cooler: still sunny, but in the high 70s.
