A 68-year-old woman was killed in a crash in Poulsbo Saturday.
The crash occurred around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 305 and Hostmark Street when the woman’s car left the roadway and hit the “Welcome to Poulsbo” sign.
The impact resulted in Poulsbo Fire having to extract the woman from the vehicle. She was taken by life flight to Harborview Medical in Seattle, where she died from her injuries.
An autopsy is being done by the Kitsap County coroner, but the likely cause of the crash was a medical event while the woman was driving.
She had not been identified as Aug. 30.
