Department of Health clears south Bainbridge drinking water

The Washington Department of Health ended an advisory for south island drinking water after lab results turned up no contaminants Tuesday.

A line break last week may have allowed contaminants to enter the water system that serves 79 homes in the Emerald Heights and Deer Ridge subdivisions, as well as a few homes along Opal Ridge Road.

Residents had been advised to boil their drinking water. The line break has since been repaired.

Emerald Heights customers who have questions about their water may call 780-7850.
