Volunteers with the Kiwanis Club of Bainbridge Island gather bags and boxes of paperwork from a steady stream of cars Saturday at the Columbia Bank on High School Road for ShredFest 2018.
ShredFest started at 9 a.m., and the first truck from Le May Mobile Shredding filled with shredded documents — that’s 10,000 pounds – left the bank parking lot at 12:30 p.m.
Organizers noted it was the second year in a row where more than one truck was needed.
The annual event, always on the second Saturday after Tax Day, is a fundraiser for Kiwanis programs.
