Keyport played host to a unique visitor Oct. 17 when an Elephant Seal appeared just offshore at low tide. Keyport biologists Asila Bergman and Dawn Grebner notified the state Department of Fish & Wildlife while monitoring the seal’s condition. The seal ended up moving on to deeper waters and departed the area without any human intervention. It almost looks like it’s waving goodbye.
