Eva Lynn Hannevig of Bainbridge Island passed away from heart disease on Feb. 23, 2016 at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle.
She was born in Gate City, Virginia on April 22, 1935.
She attended Berea College in Kentucky and later finished her education at Seattle Central Community College and the University of Washington.
Through Helpline and other social service organizations, she worked with developmentally disabled individuals for 25 years. She especially loved participating in community access programs and her role as an advocate.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Thor Hannevig, and by her daughter, Jody Rush, son-in-law Brian Rush and a granddaughter, Lidia Rush.
At her request, no services will be held.
