Bainbridge Island Fly Fishers will get tips on fishing Hood Canal at their next meeting.
The group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29 at Seabold Hall. Captain Justin Waters, Owner of All-Waters Fly Fishing, will discuss the major factors to finding success on the unique branch of Puget Sound known as Hood Canal.
Waters will discuss water temperatures, seasons and bait choices that are important to staying successful while fishing Hood Canal. Hood Canal is a unique section of Puget Sound that varies greatly in water temperature, tides, and bait throughout the seasons. The Sea Run Cutthroat populations are uniquely strong in this giant estuary due the light fishing pressure, protected spawning streams, and massive baitfish populations.
All adults and families are invited to attend; bring a fly or $1 to participate in a raffle to win a nice selection of flies.
Seabold Hall is at 14450 Komedal Road NE.
