Jennifer Forbes of Poulsbo and Karen Klein of Bainbridge Island are the likely candidates for the General Election in the much-contested race for Superior Court Judge Court Position 7.
Forbes and Klein were leading the pack in the four-way race to replace Judge M. Karlynn Haberly, who decided not to seek re-election.
In the initial vote tally on Election Night, Forbes was in front with 49.2 percent of the vote, followed by Klein, with 19.6 percent.
Rob MacDermid was in third, with 17.1 percent of the vote.
Bill Houser was in fourth, with 13.9 percent of votes cast.
So far, a total of 30,119 votes had been counted in the race.
Under the state’s top two primary, the two candidates with the most votes will advance to the General Election in November.
