Bainbridge officials have announced that Fort Ward Hill Road will soon be under construction and the project will likely affect traffic from August through October.
The road will undergo reconstruction of roughly 1,400 feet between Bolero Drive and Sunny Hill Circle. The project includes the installation of a guard rail, rockeries and paved shoulders.
Work will begin toward the end of August and continue through October. One-way alternating travel is expected to slow traffic on the road. Both lanes are also expected to be closed at times during construction.
City officials will give a briefing on the project at a public meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19 at city hall.
