Jerry Johnson, 80, passed away peacefully at home on Bainbridge Island on Aug. 27, 2014.
Jerry was born May 20, 1934 in Emery, South Dakota and moved to Bainbridge Island when he was 5. He graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1952 and remained lifelong friends with many of his classmates. He made a career and retired from the sheet metal industry.
His favorite activities included fishing, camping, poker, cribbage, pinochle and watching the Mariners.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia Johnson; his children Scott Johnson and Cheryl Flodin; his grandchildren who made his life complete, David, Eric and Megan Flodin; brother Dale (Ann) Johnson and sister Carol Walters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of life from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14 at Fay Bainbridge Park.
