The Bainbridge Island Harbor Commission will meet tomorrow at Waterfront Park Community Center to talk about the Waterfront Park project.
Commissioners will suggest items for the 2014 work plan and review results from the recent Waterfront Park-city dock open design studios.
Studio Cascade, the consulting firm hired for the city dock redesign, submitted a conceptual model to city council Jan. 15.
The redesign as currently drawn includes an extended boat launch that could be used during low tide, and a new floating dock which would extend out like a hockey stick. The end portion of the pier would be widened to allow for more foot traffic.
Previously, the commission requested a three-finger dock that could accommodate visiting boaters, sporting vessels and a boat launch.
In the consultant’s presentation earlier this month, project manager Bill Grimes said the hockey stick design would leave the northern side of the pier open should the city obtain extra funds to erect additional finger docks.
The commission will gather at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 at Waterfront Park Community Center.
