Two new case of COVID-19 were added by the Kitsap Public Health District in its Thursday update, bringing the countywide total to 174 cases.

A total of 8,991 residents have tested negative — of those tested, the positive test rate has dropped to about 2 percent. Twelve new cases have been reported in the last two weeks.

Of the 165 cases, 12 have been reported on Bainbridge Island, 56 in Bremerton, 30 in Central Kitsap, 35 in North Kitsap and 41 in South Kitsap. Two coronavirus-related deaths have been confirmed by Kitsap Public Health District as well.

The age breakdown for confirmed cases is as follows:

0 – 19: 8

20 – 29: 31

30 – 39: 22

40 – 49: 31

50 – 59: 43

60 – 69: 19

70 – 79: 14

80 and older: 6
