Highway 305 is expected to be closed until 8 p.m. Wednesday after a three-car crash just south of the bridge sent two people to the hospital with injuries.

The crash happened just after 6 p.m. Dec. 28 near Agatewood Road.

A 26-year-old man who reportedly received head injuries in the crash and was being airlfifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment.

Another person involved in the crash was also being airlifted to Seattle.

Emergency workers prepared the helipad at Bainbridge Island Fire Department’s Station 21 for one of the medivac flights, while another landing zone was being established near the department’s Phelps Road station just before 7 p.m.
