Juliana Hinkley of Bainbridge Island was named to the spring 2018 Dean’s List at Samford University.

Hinkley is a senior athletic training major and attended Bainbridge High School.

To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework.

The dean’s list is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester. This past semester, nearly 1,400 students qualified.

Founded in 1841 in Birmingham, Alabama, Samford is the 87th oldest institution of higher education in the United States and one of the top-ranked regional universities in the South.
