Two distinguished judges will talk about judicial neutrality at the League of Women Voters of Kitsap’s next community meeting.
Kitsap County District Court Judge Marilyn Paja and retired Judge Robin Hunt of the Washington State Court of Appeals have been invited to discuss the election of judges and judicial neutrality.
The meeting is noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 at Poulsbo City Hall, 200 NE Moe St.
Organizers of the meeting note that judges are expected to be fair and impartial, but can they maintain impartiality in an era in which large sums of money may be donated to elect or defeat a candidate? The program is free and open to the public. Guests can bring a lunch or sign up for a box lunch from Coffee Oasis for $12. Box lunch orders must be paid for by April 8; call Sharon Shrader at 360-373-9608 for details.
