Poulsbo police are investigating a suspicious death after a man who showed obvious signs of physical trauma was found dead Oct. 15 on a sidewalk on Winton Lane.
Kitsap’s medical examiner’s office identified the victim as 26-year-old Nicholas Anthony Serra of Seabeck. Cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head and the manner is homicide.

Meanwhile, Breanna Hagen was arrested regarding possible involvement in an Oct. 3 homicide near Poulsbo involving suspects Caleb Sloan and Aksel Strom, the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office reported Oct. 13.
Hagen was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with a bail set at $65,000. She was set to appear in District Court Oct. 16.
Hagen had multiple warrants for her arrest, including a felony warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle, per KCSO.
KCSO detectives are continuing to search for Sloan and Strom in the investigation into the death of Brandon L. Egeler in the 3100 block of Lincoln Road NE.
Felony arrest warrants for second-degree murder and first-degree burglary are active for Sloan and Strom. Bail for each is set at $500,000. Detectives believe that both are likely in the area of Kitsap, Mason or Jefferson counties.
Detectives also have information that there are people who are helping the murder suspects evade capture, per KCSO.
“KCSO will forward reports to the Kitsap prosecutor’s office for review and potential criminal charging for rendering criminal assistance in the first degree, a class B Felony, for anyone found to have helped either of these murder suspects avoid being captured in any way,” the department’s Facebook post states.
