Kitsap Transit
Due to snow and winter weather conditions, Kitsap Transit is starting all routes on Emergency Service Feb. 15.
South Kitsap, Central Kitsap, North Kitsap and Bainbridge Island:
- Kitsap Transit is activating its Emergency Service Plan. Regular routed bus routes will not operate; buses will operate loops and will not follow a regular schedule.
- ACCESS service will operate within 3/4 of a mile of our Central and South Kitsap Emergency Service for life-sustaining trips only. Travel to outlying areas may be limited. Contact ACCESS at 1-800-422-2877 if you need to check the status of your trip.
- All Dial-a-Ride services are canceled.
- KT Fast Ferries and Local Foot Ferries will operate normal schedules unless high winds or unsafe conditions at a dock force us to cancel sailings.
- Check your individual route schedule online for specific Snow Route details.
Visit the Snow and Extreme Weather webpage to check the status of your bus or ferry service and to access snow route maps. Given poor road conditions, buses may run behind schedule. Download the real-time tracking apps to see the location of your ride. If KT makes changes to service, they will occur at 9 a.m., noon, 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
KT encourages riders to take precautions: If your stop is on a hill, walk to a stop on flat ground. Give yourself plenty of time to get to the bus stop. Your bus stop may be late during inclement weather, so dress warmly and be patient. The floor of the bus or ferry may be slippery. Use caution
