He had to wait an extra week, but Bainbridge Island teen Webster Gadbois will finally get to experience the thrill of his music filling the auditorium at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall.
A musical composition written by Gadbois will be performed by the Seattle Symphony tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Nordstrom Recital Hall at Benaroya Hall.
Gadbois, a 15-year-old sophomore, is one of 10 teen composers whose work was chosen for “Young Composers: A Concert of World Premieres.” Gadbois was selected to be featured as part of a night celebrating local up-and-coming composers.
The performance originally scheduled for May 1 was postponed following concerns of possible violence during the May Day protests.
After warnings from the city of Seattle about potential trouble, the Seattle Symphony postponed the May 1 performance.
