Lawmakers from the 23rd Legislative District will host two town hall meetings this Saturday to hear from residents in the district.

Rep. Sherry Appleton, Rep. Drew Hansen and Sen. Christine Rolfes will give a first-hand account of the 2016 Session and detail what happened — and what didn’t — in Olympia this year.

They’ll also touch on how work in the state capital affects the people, communities and businesses of the 23rd Legislative District.

The trio are also hoping to get feedback from constituents about education, transportation, public safety, jobs, the economy and other issues.

The first meeting is from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16 at the Eagle’s Nest (Kitsap Fairgrounds, 1195 NW Fairgrounds Road, Bremerton).

The second town hall is from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 16 at Poulsbo City Hall (200 Moe St. NE).
