The last suspect connected to a ring of North Kitsap burglars was taken into custody just outside of Las Vegas on Monday.
Donald Lloyd Pugh Jr. was arrested by Las Vegas Metro Police at about 7:30 a.m. March 30 at the Bonnie Springs Ranch in Nevada, said Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Deputy Scott Wilson.
“He was the last suspect outstanding in this whole mess that had over 50 victims,” Wilson said.
He was arrested on KCSO warrants of residential burglary, theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and family non-support.
Pugh will face extradition proceedings in Nevada this week.
Police believe Pugh was part of a burglary ring responsible for breaking into more than 100 mailboxes and 50 homes, stealing cars, motorcycles, firearms, stereos and computer systems with a combined value estimated at upwards of $250,000.
The ring used information from a Kitsap Sun delivery worker who had knowledge of when victims would be out of town.
The burglaries occurred across the Kitsap Peninsula and Bainbridge Island.
Seven other people connected to the robberies have pleaded guilty and several are still serving jail time.
Pugh may not be charged for burglaries committed on Bainbride.
“I don’t know if we have exact, specific information to tie him to the burglaries on the island,” said BIPD Det. Trevor Ziemba.
