Mercury Online Solutions, a Bainbridge-based provider of in-store display networks, has hired Alex Endzell as technology development director.
Endzell comes from Industrial Systems, Inc., where he developed software products that helped the company grow from 20 to more than 120 employees. ISI was recently acquired by Aspen Technology.
At Mercury, Endzell will work on upgrades to Mercury’s software, and on new applications.
Founded by John Eisenhauer, Mercury develops and maintains interactive kiosks and point-of-sale displays.
Because the monitoring is done over the internet, Mercury can serve a nationwide client base from its headquarters on Ericksen Avenue. The company boasts a 99.2 percent “uptime” rate on one of the largest display networks in the nation.

***Auto detailer back on island
Francisco Fuentez has opened Rosie’s Little Detail Shop, an auto-detailing service next to Rocket Coffee near the ferry terminal.
Fuentez, who operated B&B Auto Detailing in 1994, has seven years experience detailing interiors and exteriors.
Commuters can leave their cars in the morning and pick them up at the end of the day, Fuentez said. Prices range from $120 to $150.
Kitsap, city hold telecom events
On Thursday, the Kitsap Regional Economic Development Council’s Telecommunications Committee will hear from representatives from the city of Bainbridge on the status of broadband on the island.

The city and the Chamber of Commerce tackle the subject again the following Thursday at a telecommunications luncheon forum, 11:30 a.m. Nov. 21 in the city hall council chambers.
