Marianne Milander of Bainbridge Island has been awarded the Outstanding Freshman award by the University of Idaho College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
Milander is a 2019 graduate of Bainbridge High School. She is studying animal and veterinary science, with a pre-vet option.
The award was bestowed on Milander, according to the college: “Her academic excellence, community and university service, as well as her desire to learn makes her very deserving of this award. Her work ethic and passion for the animal science community demonstrates her ability to be a respectable and pioneering leader in the field. Marianne is a well-rounded individual who has excelled in the classroom and who has given back to the community, university and the college.”
