The Bainbridge Island Police Department is asking the public’s help in finding a Bainbridge man who has gone missing.

The resident, a dementia patient, has been identified by authorities as Brian S. Gast, 62.

He is described as Caucasian, 5-foot-10, with a medium build. He has brown eyes and gray hair and has a beard. He wears glasses and was last seen wearing a maroon jacket, black sweats and a black T-shirt that reads “Italy.”

Gast was last seen at 550 Madison Ave. at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24.

Officials said he has no phone, vehicle or money.
