Featuring free food and games, National Night Out takes place each year on the first Tuesday in August to strengthen local anti-crime efforts and build bonds between the police and the community.
Bainbridge Island’s celebratory party was a big hit, including a pie eating contest, the chance for youngsters to climb a fire truck or sit in a police car and even special guests like Chester Cheetah and one pint-sized Batman.
