The Kitsap Community Foundation is welcoming five new additions to the foundation’s board of directors.
These new Board members and staff will help the foundation pave new avenues to philanthropy in Kitsap County.
“We are delighted that the foundation has grown so quickly,” said Kol Medina, executive director of the foundation. “The addition of these individuals to our team will help us bring a whole new level of giving to Kitsap County.”
The new board members are: Tina Bright, associate consultant, The Focus Group; Steve Green, president and CEO Land Title Company; Joan Hanten, retired vice president of Olympic College; Alice Tawresey, former Bainbridge Island Mayor; and Walt Washington, Kitsap County Auditor.
The board officers are Harriette Bryant, interim executive director, YWCA Kitsap County; vice-chair, Joan Davis, retired vice president for Umpqua Bank; treasurer, Dave Schuremen, Kitsap County Financial Services Manager; and secretary, Monty Montgomery, a retired Boeing engineer.
The foundation has also hired Ani (April) Gatz as a communications and design specialist. Gatz comes to the foundation with more than a decade of marketing, writing, and design experience, along with years of nonprofit administrative and marketing volunteer experience.
