Norman Ray Moehring, 89, died peacefully surrounded by family on Feb. 28, 2015.

Norm was born in Seattle and attended Queen Anne High School, served in the Army Air Corps and later attended the University of Washington.

He married Elaine Ruth Bensene in 1949 and made their home in Seattle until 1974 when they moved to Bainbridge Island.

Norm is survived by his wife Elaine; his children Lynne (David Emmons), Jan (Walter Hannon) and Gary (Andrea) Moehring; grandchildren Kyle, Erica (Joe VanAlstine), Brian, Tyler, Laura, Jason, Nicholas and Christine; and great-grandsons Dylan and Luke.
