A sailing on the Bainbridge Island-Seattle ferry route was canceled early Monday after problems surfaced with an electrical generator.

Washington State Ferries called off the 5:20 a.m. sailing from Bainbridge.

Maintenance crews on board the ferry were able to fix the generator, however, and two-boat service to the island was restored with the 6:10 a.m. departure from Seattle on Feb. 18.
