Richard B. Norman died on Oct. 27, 2013. He was 86.
He was born on Nov. 21, 1926 in Seattle, Wash. His parents were Henrietta and Attilla Norman. He was raised on Bainbridge Island and graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1944.
He served in both the Army and the Navy and began his career as a Federal Bank Examiner in 1966.
Richard was a life member of Occidental Lodge, No. 72 F. & A.M., a member of Valley of Orient Scottish Rite of Free Masonry and a member of the Nile Temple Shrine. He was also a member of the Ballard Lodge #827 B.P.O., Elks where he was Trustee and Treasurer for many years.
He was an avid Bowler scoring several perfect games and enjoyed playing Bridge with his close friends.
In his later years, he moved to the Broadview Branch of Ida Culver Retirement Home, where he passed away.
