Several roads are closed on the island due to complications from the snow.

Arrowpoint Drive from the park entrance to Miller Road is closed due to a car blocking the roadway.

High School Road between Westerly and Fletcher Bay Road is also closed due to a tree down on the wires. The city is waiting for Puget Sound Energy to remove the tree. There is also a small power outage in the High School Road area, according to city officials.

Toe Jam Hill Road was closed between Country Club Road and Garden Lane, due to a downed tree, but the road has since been cleared.

Lance Newkirk, the city’s public works director said his team is not aware of any other power outages on the island and are pleased with the conditions of the road at this point in the day.

“We had a plan and as the snow evolved we put it to action,” said Newkirk.

Public Works did not encounter any other problems related to the snow in the night.
