Bakers of various skill levels roll out their dough, preparing to make classic challah at the second monthly Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network’s 2018 King Arthur Bakealong session on Thursday.

“It’s not really a class,” said BARN spokeswoman Carolyn Goodwin. “It’s a little bit different than a lot of the things that we do because it’s really just a community event.

King Arthur Flour, she said, sponsors the annual bakealong, sets the menu and provides recipes and instruction videos.

“They decide what [the project] is going to be every month,” Goodwin said. “What this group does is just come, and together they follow the recipe and trade tips. They do it as a group, rather than you just doing it in your home kitchen.”
