Rolling Bay Hall has new owners

Rolling Bay Hall has new owners.

The venerable venue is now owned by RBCC, a company that began operating the facility in the Rolling Bay neighborhood on Dec. 21.

“Stages in Kitsap are rare and worth preserving,” said RBCC principal Drew Fiscus. “The intimacy and flexibility of the performance space is what inspired us initially.

“We have a tremendous respect for the work that has been done in the past to create an environment that supports creativity and performance,” he added.

“Our vision for the future is to build on that legacy, improve the facility and optimize the experience for tenants, patrons and artists alike. We hope our commitment will inspire our tenants and fuel continued support from the community.”

What began as an idea sketched on the proverbial napkin became reality over the span of 180 short days, RBCC officials explained. The small group of like-minded investors gelled quickly around a shared passion for preserving and enhancing Rolling Bay Hall as a performing arts venue and creative space.

Rolling Bay Hall is currently home to the Rolling Bay Music Cooperative (known historically as Island Music Guild), Bainbridge Chorale and several performing arts groups, including the theatre company Lesser Known Players and the nonprofit music curators Spacecraft Presents.

“We are grateful to those who have paved the way by showing what is possible,” Fiscus said “We can’t wait to take it to the next level.”
