Colin Hyde Post 172 has named Fred Scheffler as the post commander for the 2014-2015 Legion year.

Newly installed officers of Colin Hyde Post 172 of the American Legion were elected at the group’s last business meeting.

The other officers are Ron Coglon Jr., past commander; Ron Luke, first vice commander; Gary Clough, second vice commander; Bill Beck, adjutant; John Wilson, finance officer; Mike Wilson, judge advocate; Jim Tusler,  chaplain; Jim Walkowski, historian; Norm Marten, sergeant-at-arms; Nels Johansen, senior color guard; and Jim Walkowski, junior color guard.

Members-at-Large elected to the Post Executive Committee are Walt Burkartsmeier, Nels Johansen and Roth Hafer.

The first meeting of the new Legion Year will be 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5.
