Students from the Madrona School examine the Native American carvings on Haleets, also known as Figurehead Rock, at Agate Passage during a recent outing that found the fourth-graders in teacher Kim Vennerholm’s class exploring Bainbridge Island history.
The day-long tour for the dozen students also included visits to Port Blakely, Blakely Cemetery, Fay Bainbridge Park and the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Exclusion Memorial.
