U.S. Senator Patty Murray praised the Pennsylvania federal judge who decided late this week to temporarily block the Trump Administration’s rules that would allow virtually any employer or university to choose whether or not birth control is covered under their employees’ insurance.
“This decision recognizes what women across the country already know: access to birth control isn’t about politics, it’s about a woman’s health and her financial security,” said Murray (D-WA).
“The Trump Administration’s decision to allow virtually any employer or university to take birth control coverage away from women will have deeply harmful consequences for them and their families, and I’m going to keep doing everything I can to fight back against their extreme, anti-woman agenda,” she said.
