No, even before you ask, Elisa Romeo can’t tell you next month’s winning lottery numbers.
The island-based psychic also can’t tell you what color you’re thinking of, what you had for breakfast yesterday or where your lost keys are.
Half of the time, she said that she can’t even find her own. So don’t bother asking.
“That’s not really what it is,” she laughed, explaining that, for her, being psychic doesn’t actually work like that.
“I wish it did,” she added. “That’d be awesome.”
Romeo’s psychic strengths are more in line with her professional expertise, what she calls the “ego’s interests.” Thus, as a licensed marriage-and-family therapist, she works to connect people with their own souls to better achieve real happiness.
“People come to me and they think they’re asking a question about a work issue or a relationship issue, but to me, I use every question to help get the person connected to their soul,” Romeo explained. “And their soul wants them to be successful at work and in relationships or whatever. I like to empower people where they’re feeling connected [and] I’m not just giving them information.”
Recently, she brought her blend of soulful advice and psychic skill builders to a larger audience than ever before with her new book, “Meet Your Soul.” It’s now available online and at Eagle Harbor Book Company.
This book, a follow-up to her first authorship endeavor “Authentic Intuition,” published as an e-book, was, she said, a project she intended for some time, though she didn’t know at first in what manner she wanted to approach her next topic.
“There’s kind of this gap between the spiritual world and the psychology world, and that’s what I’m really interested in,” Romeo said. “That’s one thing I love about this book is that it isn’t dependent on your religious background. I have [clients] from all different religious backgrounds and then I have atheists [and] agnostics.”
Romeo said she has a client list of thousands of people from around the world, including many who call or visit her for sessions regularly to reconnect with their soul or build their own intuitive abilities.
In these “soul sessions,” Romeo said she is able to connect her clients to the perspective of their own souls to help them answer questions and overcome obstacles in any number of life’s daily areas of struggle — including work, relationships, health, finances and, perhaps most of all, love.
“There’s different types of intuition and what my soul is interested in is connecting people to their souls,” she said.
Romeo’s client list boasts successful people from a myriad of professions around the globe, but she’s also worked in more somber company as part of her counseling work with people such as criminals, rapists, pedophiles and incest survivor groups.
It can be odd, to say the least, to hear Romeo change topics so easily between working around such dark themes as those to discussing her favorite spiritual collaborators (Jesus is one of her favorites to speak with, though, she said she’s also “worked with” Buddha and Krishna as well).
“Jesus is awesome because he’s a rebel and he’s stubborn,” she said. “He’s like, ‘I’m going to see the love. No matter what crap you think you are, I’m going to hold the highest vision of you.’”
She calls this kind of spiritual optimism being “love stubborn,” insisting on looking for the love in everyone’s soul.
“To me that’s what healing is,” Romeo said.
Not buying any of this? That’s OK too, it’s nothing Romeo hasn’t heard before.
“It can be helpful to be skeptical, but it’s not helpful to be cynical,” she said. “Usually, the difference is cynicism has anger on it and there’s usually trauma underneath that.
“It’s OK to be skeptical,” she added. “It’s good to be discerning. I think there’s a lot of crap out there, so it’s good to kind of bring your mind to the table.
“But it’s also like you don’t want to block a true experience because you’re so defended and attached to the need for physical proof that you don’t allow yourself to have an experience,” she added.

What happens in one of Romeo’s sessions?
“Before the reading, I center and clear myself in meditation so I am ready to read.
Next, I ask a client to say her/his name out loud three times (for energetic permission to look at her space). I receive an energetic blueprint from the Soul and then begin to look at the overall energy, as well as the chakra centers, for anything that is trying to get my immediate attention (such as blocks, stuck energy, or relationship ‘cords’ with other people).
I then begin with a general overview of the main issues that I see. Next, I ask what topics/challenges/questions the client has, and look at his energetic space with those issues in mind.
I next go through a more intensive, specific reading, according to the client’s interest.”
