The Review will move its offices to the Day Road press facility.
In a move that will triple its space, Sound Publishing Inc., owner of 18 community newspapers including the Bainbridge Island Review, is moving its corporate headquarters from Bainbridge Island to Poulsbo.
Beginning in April, most of the corporate staff will be shifted from the current 3,500-square-foot headquarters on Day Road to a larger building near the Poulsbo Chamber of Commerce at Poulsbo Village.
President Manfred Tempelmayr said the company needs more space following several recent newspaper acquisitions.
“The company has grown, we need more administrative staff and we must move to a larger space,” Tempelmayr said.
The company is installing additional press equipment at the Day Road plant, which will continue to be the production hub of the company.
As part of the shuffle, the Review newspaper – including administrative, advertising and editorial staff – will move at the end of April from its current location at the Pavilion to the soon-to-be vacated space on Day Road.
The Review likely will maintain a satellite office in Winslow, possibly at its current location in the Pavilion. Further details will be announced at a later date.
A wholly owned subsidiary of Black Press of Victoria, B.C., Sound Publishing recently acquired 10 community newspapers in the Seattle area, following the acquisition last year of the classified advertising publications Little Nickel in Washington and Nickel Ads in Oregon.
