Special program explains proposal for universal health coverage in Washington state

Islanders can learn more about a proposed bill to expand health care during a special presentation this week at the Bainbridge Island Public Library.

Chuck Richards, president of Health Care for All, Washington, will present an introduction to the Washington Health Security Trust, a bill in the state Legislature to establish a health care system that covers all Washington residents.

The program is 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 22 at the library.
