The Battle Point Astronomical Association will celebrate a dedication of its new sundial near the Edwin E. Ritchie Observatory in Battle Point Park at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 19.

The observatory will be open for tours and solar telescopes will be out to observe the source of the sundial’s shadow during the ceremony.

Refreshments will be served.
