The Washington State Department of Transportation, working with the Peninsula Regional Transportation Planning Organization, is launching a survey to get input from customers of community transit systems serving the Kitsap and Olympic peninsulas.

Social service providers in Kitsap, Jefferson, Clallam and Mason counties are also being encouraged to participate in a related survey.

Officials said information gained from the survey will help determine service gaps and lead to recommendations for improved service. Both surveys are available online:

Both surveys are open until 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21.

Printed copies of the surveys are also available at public libraries in Kitsap, Mason, Jefferson and Clallam counties.
